The Art Center for the Islands is a thriving center of the visual arts to Mustang Island, Padre Island and the neighboring communities. Artists from all over the Coastal Bend, Austin, San Antonio, Houston & all points in between, plus Winter Texans from all over the United States and Canada enjoy displaying + selling their work and/ or taking classes and  workshops. 3RD ANNUAL ARTFEST Fine Arts & Craft Exhibits 10 am - 5 pm ART FESTIVAL DATES ~ May 17th and MAY 18th   2008 3rd Annual ARTFEST -A fine array of Artists with Fine Arts & Crafts for sale will be held –May 17th & 18th  Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm in the Tarpon Inn Courtyard. It’s not a bad idea to bring lawn chairs, or blankets and your choice of beverage, all you need to do is listen to some great original music and celebrate under the stars! Proceeds will go to the ART CENTER FOR THE ISLANDS, with things kicking off about 7 pm (Island time) with a $5.00 donation at the gate. The Songwriter’s Showcase is Sponsored by the Art Center for the Islands & The Tarpon Inn.
