Art Center for the Islands

The Art Center for the Islands is a thriving center of the visual arts to Mustang Island, Padre Island and the neighboring communities. Artists from all over the Coastal Bend, Austin, San Antonio, Houston & all points in between, plus Winter Texans from all over the United States and Canada enjoy displaying + selling their work and/ or taking classes and  workshops. Locals, tourists and artists as well love to shop in our Galleries & Gift Shop. See you soon!

Artists are welcome to submit artwork in watercolor, acrylic, oil, prisma color or pen & ink. The image needs to be 8-1/2 inches by 13 inches and may be either vertical or horizontal. The art must depict Port Aransas as this is a commemorative poster. The deadline is August 1st 2010. The winning artist will receive $200 for the artwork and copyright. Square Foot Building Fund 

This donation is to be used only for the creation of a new Art Center Building and land to build it on. Each "SQUARE FOOT" donated has a value of $200.00 and a Certificate of Participation will be provided for each Donation. Recognition of this Donation will also be displayed in the new Art Center Building.
