The Port Aransas Art Center is a thriving center of
the visual arts to Mustang Island, Padre Island and the
neighboring communities. Artists from all over the Coastal
Bend, Austin, San Antonio, Houston & all points in between,
plus Winter Texans from all over the United States and
Canada enjoy displaying + selling their work and/ or taking
classes and workshops. Locals, tourists and artists as well
love to shop in our Galleries & Gift Shop. See you soon!

Location: Robert’s Point Park near the water & the Ferry
Landing. Artists will
offer the following for sale:
Original Paintings in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor + Prints made
from originals and handmade note cards. Photography will be
offered –framed or unframed on paper and on canvas. Shell
art, ocean theme items plus wine stoppers. Metal sculpture,
sand- blasted stone designs, clay bowls, sea creatures &
pottery, decorative bowls & vessels. Home accessories,
painting on fabrics, hand painted fish & signs. Stained
glass, Dichroic glass wall art, sculpture &jewelry. Other
Jewelry will include wire wrapped, beads, handmade &
original designs in metals- sterling silver, brass, copper,
shells & many more unique works of art.
There will also be food,
beverages & some music for your listening pleasure.
The
30th Annual
Songwriter’s Showcase May 19th
7pm Bring a picnic basket/cooler,
beverages etc. blankets or lawn
chairs
and listen to
some wonderful Original music under the stars and near the
water.
Preecher Williams & Woodie Lawson are back to organize again
this year (last year’s showcase was phenomenal)!

Local Coastal Bend
area Artist - Dinah Bowman has donated a
piece of her work titled - Corpus Christi Bay it
is an Original Gyotaku (fish print) /Collage,
with a Trout chasing a Shrimp and a Redfish
chasing a Crab on a chart of Corpus Christi Bay
- Valued at $3,000.
You may buy a ticket
for the drawing during Gallery hours 11-5
Mon.-Sat., 12-4 Sunday, or at any of the 1st
Friday receptions. Each Ticket is for One Chance
in the Drawing which will be held - August
2nd 2013, at the First Friday Reception.
Tickets are $10 each
and the Proceeds Benefit the Port Aransas Art
Center Land/Building Fund. The Art Center is a
501 (C) (3) Nonprofit Celebrating Art &
Education since 1996.You may buy as many tickets
as you wish. If you are from out of town & win,
it can stay at the center (for a little while)
until you can come to town to pick it up; or if
it is to be shipped the winner is responsible
for the shipping costs. |
Square Foot
Building Fund
This donation is to be used only for the
creation of a new Art Center Building and land to build it
on. Each "SQUARE FOOT" donated has a value of $200.00 and
a Certificate of Participation will be provided for each
Donation. Recognition of this Donation will also be
displayed in the new Art Center Building.
A Big
Thank You to All the SQUARE FOOT & Palette Donors, with
these wonderful donations and other fund-raising events
the Building Fund has reached over $82,000 as of June,
2012!
