Classes / Activities
For over 10 years we have
been offering fun and educational classes and workshops,
instructed by some of the areas best artists. Classes are
weekly and workshops are special 1, 2 or 3 day events. Here
are some of our classes:

draw or improve your skills. Join us

Soft Pastels ~ Donna Garven

$15.00 non-members $13.50 Members. Get your
set of Soft Pastels, (Hobby Lobby has
them at 14.95), you can buy the right paper
from the instructor so you are ready to
participate in this fun class!

oil Painting ~ Donna Garven

Cost: $15 Supply List will be available. She
will teach the basics of Oil Painting and
the use of Color. Subjects will be varied
each week. Come join her and she will
introduce you to the fun of Oil Painting and
how to use soft pastels. The Basics in Oil
will be brush techniques, color washes,
blending and mixing paint, use of a palette
knife in painting and more.

Painting -Gloria

Starting January 13th
Gloria will be teaching various techniques of
oil on canvas using the pallet knife, the
bristle brush and the sable brush (for water
reflection), balance and composition, line, and
values. Supply List available come “swing your
brush” says Gloria. |

EASY COIL BASKETS-Judith DeShong Hall
– Mondays –January 11th & 13th

Cost: $45 for both classes

Create
wonderful baskets with the coiling method.
Various twine and yarns allow for a great
variety of looks. This method easily
converts to non‑traditional shapes. Use
strong yarn, embroidery thread and cords in
creating unique baskets. Coiling projects
can be carried and worked on anywhere. Week

your paintings? This class will talk about
color optics, color mixing, color harmonies.
You’ll learn how to enrich and unify your art
with color,
whatever your medium or style. Students will
practice with color, create with color. Eugene
Delacroix said, ‘Colors are the music of the
